MAIKAZE's Touhou Anime Project is a Doujin (fan-made) production of ZUN's Touhou Curtain Fire/Bullet Hell game series. Touhou is a Doujin game developed by Shanghai Alice which is composed of one person (ZUN himself). Each game is released on a yearly basis, currently at 11 games (technically 14, along with a variety of other fan-made games) with the first five developed for the PC-98 and the rest developed for Windows. [Edit] Touhou is a doujin game originally deveoped for the PC-98 platform and then afterwards, developed for the Windows computer. The series is developed by Team Shanghai Alice, composed of only one person (ZUN, the creator of the series.) The first five games were for PC-98, and all the other games from 6 and up were developed for Windows. Currently there are 11 (technically 14 if 7.5, 9.5, and 10.5 are counted) games total, released on approximately a yearly basis, as well as a variety of fan-made productions (including doujinshi, games, flash movies, and this anime). The games were originally developed to show ZUN's musical talent, but the games eventually took over his life. ZUN is said to be an impulsive drunkard.
