austinhoylee938 *cutoff* What's also possible is that this has nothing to do with any of these and that the name Amaterasu is just one of the many names for Sun Deities being used in this show. The Woman in Black is likely to remain nameless and positionless.

austinhoylee938 @Nick2001 That's possible but don't forget that in Japanese mythology, Amaterasu and Tsukuyomi (and be extend Susanoo) are all Gods/Goddesses that were created by Izanagi when he washed and purified himself upon entering Yomi/The Underworld. As such, I highly doubt that the Evangelist is someone who's supposedly on par with the Woman in Black if she's supposedly like Amaterasu; rather she's on a much higher pedestal, closer to Izanagi than the creations that came forth from it. Nick2001 @austinhoylee938 or maybe she's more like Amaterasu and the Evangelist more like Tsukuyomi. Since the woman in black seems to be relatively "good" and the evangelist relatively "bad"

austinhoylee938 Hmmm, why do I feel like the Woman in Black's real name is Tsukuyomi? If she's the core of the Tabernacle then it's possible that another person is also the core of Amaterasu and that might just be that person's original name as well. In Japanese mythology, Amaterasu was the sister and husband of Tsukuyomi, both having been born from Izanagi so it would explain why there are 2 of them... or, if we follow the myth further, 3 of them across the world; one for Amaterasu, one for Tsukuyomi and one for Susanoo. The one thing against this theory (apart from the manga likely debunking it completely) is that Tsukuyomi was a man and the Woman in Black is... well, female. So either there is a reverse of genders as a form of creative freedom... or I'm going way too far into this theory :p
